Does Clickfunnels Work for Small and Local Businesses?
If you’ve been in business for a long time, I don’t have to tell you times have changed since your first year. Reliable marketing tactics such as word of mouth, referrals, and providing outstanding customer service aren’t enough anymore. You have to be willing to go the extra mile to exceed your customer’s expectations.
While analyzing the cost to acquire a customer is still vital, it’s executed and viewed differently than in year’s past. Most people think of internet marketing as not compatible with their brick and mortar business. They immediately relate internet marketing with graphic designers, eCommerce stores, and large corporations.
With clickfunnels, you can engage, influence, and entice your “dream customer” to do business with you through a new avenue. Your “dream customer” is someone you know who wants your product or service and is already in the buying process. The magic pill behind all of this: A Sales Funnel…
This doesn’t only apply to digital marketers, bloggers, web designers, or eCommerce stores like you might’ve mistakingly assumed.
Contrarily, small and local businesses can utilize the marketing software to send customers to their offers too. Many local companies solidified their online presence by publishing company pages on sites like Facebook in recent years. It’s also never a bad idea to create a website for your small business, either. Although, when you use clickfunnels, that’s unnecessary because they provide you with landing pages and every tool you would need to sell online.
Likely, you are still skeptical. However, many small business owners use clickfunnels every day to keep a steady flow of customers coming in. Here are just a few examples for small and local enterprises Clickfunnels works for:
- Restaurants
- Gyms
- Lawyers
- Plumbers
- Doctors
- Real Estate Agents
- Dentists
- Barber Shops
- Beauty Salons
- Tattoo Parlors
- Electricians
I mentioned I’d offer a few examples, but that’s nearly a dozen. The word few was still sufficient, however, because those examples are merely the tip of the iceberg. The truth is if you’re a wedding planner, personal trainer, carpenter, painter, veterinarian, or have a cleaning business, clickfunnels will work well. If I left your business out, chances are, it will additionally work for you.

What is the Power of a Sales Funnel?
A sales funnel is one of the most powerful marketing tools because it allows you to track your customer’s entire journey. What makes a sales funnel amazing, is it supplies people a graphic presentation of something difficult to imagine. A sales funnel can take a person that didn’t know about your business, and turn them into a valuable customer. Here’s a simplified illustration of a sales funnel:
Most sales funnels are designed to get people to take action and make a small commitment. Once a customer has displayed the willingness to commit to one sale, the funnel guides them through a series of upsells. It doesn’t matter how small the initial transaction was because they expressed trust and likeness to you.
The idea here is, every business worth getting into has different tiers of value to offer (from lowest to highest). For example, let’s say I have a landscaping business. I like to think of myself as a pretty likable guy, and already have a substantial social media following.
A large number of my friends own houses that have lawns in the yard. I will make them an offer they can’t refuse within the first part of their sales funnel journey. Such as; enter your email address to receive a forty percent discount off the cost of mowing the lawn.
Perhaps they don’t have time to cut the grass or just feel more important to hire someone else to do it. Whatever reason they have to hire a landscaping company, who is going to turn down such an offer?
Most people who have grass to mow also have shrubbery and trees. So, my funnel leads them to another offer. Since you want me to cut your grass, want to trim your shrubs and unwanted tree limbs for X amount? This is the power of the sales funnel. Before you know it, I have eliminated weeds in the yard and planted a beautiful garden.
This is the power of a sales funnel, which lets you present more valuable offers down the journey to increase your sales and profits. Clickfunnels let’s you create and design these sales processes with simple yet very effective web pages in the matter of minutes… Here’s how you do it.

After you’ve logged into Clickfunnels, you should head to the dashboard, then you’re ready for step number two… (If you don’t know how to reach the dashboard, simply click on the Clickfunnels logo in the top left corner and you’ll be taken straight to the dashboard).
2) Go To The CF Dashboard And Hover The Menu
When you are inside your Clickfunnels dashboard you need to hover your mouse over the menu where it says Click Funnels. Then a dropdown menu will become visible, here you need to click Build Funnel.
3) Start CookBook
Now you have the option to select between starting from scratch or use the funnel templates. If you want to start building your sales funnel from scratch then click Create New Funnel. But to use the pre-made sales funnel templates you need to click Start Cookbook.
4) Choose Your Funnel Type
On this page you’re going to select the sales funnel template you want to use in your business. If you’re not sure of what kind of sales funnel you need, then take a look at the selection on the left side.
Under Industry you want to select what kind of business you’re in. Then under Type Of Funnel you should select the type of funnel you want. Is your goal to generate leads, sales or create an event? After you’ve selected the boxes needed, several funnel templates will show up on your screen. These are the sales funnel your should choose from. If you want to know more about each of the funnels, you can hover over the images and click Select Funnel.
Lets say I’m a coach and want to sell a digital course I’ve made. Then I would mark the box Coach under industry and Sell A Product under Type Of Funnel. Then I’m going to choose the Video Sales Letter Funnel, as shown on the image above. To select this funnel, I hover over the image and click Select Funnel.
5) Choose Your Funnel Design
When you’ve selected the type of funnel you want to use, you’ll end up on this page. Here you can watch a short video of Russell Brunson explaining how the funnel you chose works. You can also download the ”funnel map” which is a illustration of your chosen funnel.
The most important thing about this page is the funnel design. You have to choose what your sales funnel is going to look like. Thankfully for us, the team at Clickfunnels has already made several designs of your chosen funnel, and they give them away for free.
You can choose between free and paid designs. The paid ones costs $297, which is in my opinion a bit much (but in return they look a bit better). I think the free funnel designs are more than good enough. To check if you like the design or not, simply click on one of them and you’ll be able to see the entire funnel.
When you’ve found the design you would like to use, click on the image and then Get Funnel. After you’ve done that the entire sales funnel will be uploaded to you Clickfunnels account.
6) Customize & Launch Your New Sales Funnel
Now you have the whole sales funnel template in your page-builder inside Clickfunnels. The only thing you need to do is to customize it to your specific business. Change the headlines and sales copy, and replace the images and videos with you own. After you’ve done this, make sure the funnel works by going through it yourself. When your sales funnel is done, you can launch it and begin to generate sales and leads.
