What Is A Bridge Funnel?
As affiliate marketers we use a lot of time and energy generating traffic for our affiliate offers. A lot of that traffic will be what we call ”cold traffic” which don’t convert that well. A bridge funnel will help you warm up and presell your traffic so they’re more likely to buy your affiliate product.
Below you see an illustration of a bridge funnel. It’s designed to collect emails, warm up your traffic and send them to your affiliate offer.
A lot of super affiliates use this exact strategy to boost conversion rates and automate their business.
This is called a bridge funnel because it closes the gap between the prospect and the product. It works like a bridge, making two ends meet. Click here to learn more.
How To Create A Bridge Funnel That Converts
The bridge funnel consists of mainly three parts:
- Squeeze Page (optin page)
- Bridge page
- Email sequence
Let’s talk a bit more about each part of the funnel.
1. Squeeze Page
A squeeze page is the exact same thing as an opt-in page. The goal is to collect an email address and send the visitor further into the funnel. The reason it’s called a squeeze page is because you squeeze it in before the bridge page.
On the squeeze page your only goal is to collect their email addresses. People often use a lead magnet to make the deal. That means you give away something for free in exchange for your visitors email address. This lead magnet can be an ebook, pdf, video training etc.
The lead magnet needs to hold enough value to make the visitors exchange their email addresses with it. After people have opted in, you send them to the bridge page.

2. Bridge Page
The bridge page is the most important part of the bridge funnel. Here you warm up your visitors, presell and close the gap between them and the product you’re promoting.
When people opted in for your lead magnet, you already know they’re interested in what you have to say. But that doesn’t mean they’re ready to buy from you… just yet.
Your main goal on the bridge page is to make the prospect interested enough in your offer to click on the next page and make a purchase. Here’s what you should include on the bridge page:
- An eye-catching title that makes the prospect want to know more about the topic and stick to the page.
- Engaging video: video content converts better than written content. Make an engaging video where you talk about the benefits of your affiliate product and what it can do for them. Make your product the solution to their problems. If you don’t want to create a video, it’s ok to write a couple of paragraphs.
- Create a bonus: Create a bonus that you give away for free when people buy your affiliate product. Figure out what the prospect needs after buying the product, then make it a bonus. This can be a course, book, tools, software, etc. When you offer a bonus for buying under your affiliate link, the conversion rate will rise.
- Value Stack: Make a value stack to show what the prospect will get for the cost of the product. Here you include your bonus offer and other things the prospect will get after the purchase. Show the value of each part in the entire offer, then summarise the total value. The total value should be around 10 times as high as the price of your affiliate product. This will be an irresistible offer that the prospect can’t say no to.
- Social Proof: Add social proof to your bridge page. This shows that the product you’re offering has helped people just like your prospects. This will help them make a purchase decision.
- Call To Action(CTA): Have multiple call-to-action buttons on the page. After each element put a CTA button that stands out from the rest of the page. The button text could be something like: ‘Click Here To Purchase’, ‘Claim Your Offer Now’ or ‘Buy Now’.
- Add A Timer: By adding a timer on the page, people tend to act faster and are more likely to buy. Use FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), because people don’t want to miss good deals. You can set the timer on 10 or 20 minutes. Then it will count down from the prospect enters the page. With the count-down timer, you can say ”the deal expires in…”. If for some reason the prospect is still on the page when the timer has counted down to zero, you can automatically redirect the prospect to your affiliate offer.
- Add A PopUp: By adding a PopUp to your bridge page you can convince anyone that tries to leave the page. This is a ‘last’ chance of getting them to buy your affiliate offer. On the PopUp, I would show them the value of the offer and add a link to the affiliate product (a sales page).
- Make It Simple: The last thing you should include on your bridge page is to simplify things. You don’t want to confuse your visitors. A confused mind says always no. Make it simple to read and be sure that the Call To Action buttons stands out.
If you get all these elements right, you would definitely have a high-converting bridge page. You can build your opt-in page and bridge page with Clickfunnels. This is the software I’m using to build all of my affiliate marketing funnels. Click here to get your 14-day free trial on Clickfunnels.
3. Email sequence
This is why the squeeze page is first in the bridge funnel: To collect emails.
You build your email list at the same time as you earn affiliate commissions. It’s a win-win!
Email marketing can be another business by itself, but when you tie it together with the bridge funnel, you really maximize your profits.
If the prospects don’t buy your affiliate product after the bridge page, you have the ability to keep sending them promotional emails on autopilot. This way of doing affiliate marketing can actually make you money while you sleep.
You can also use your email list in the future if you’re ever going to promote related affiliate products.
By building an email list you also build an asset in your business!
I highly recommend you use GetResponse to handle all of your email marketing. It’s the email provider I’ve had the most success with and I really believe it can take your affiliate business to the next level. It’s also super easy to integrate with funnel building software like ClickFunnels.

Why Use A Bridge Funnel?
There are several platforms where you can’t place your affiliate links directly in your content. If you do, you might get banned. That’s why using a bridge funnel is so effective.
You can send traffic from anywhere to your squeeze page and collect their email address, then send them to the bridge page where you presell your leads. This way you don’t miss out on any potential sales.
A bridge funnel is also good to use if you generate traffic with solo ads because that type of traffic won’t be as warm as someone that comes from YouTube or Google.
A bridge funnel you can warm up any type of traffic, even cold, then sends them to your affiliate offer.
Doing affiliate marketing this way is much more likely to give you the results you deserve and want.
Bridge Funnel vs Bridge Page
A bridge funnel consists of three parts on your end: The Squeeze Page, the Bridge Page, and the Email Sequence. The sales page is handled by the business you’re promoting.
While a bridge page on the other hand is just one single web-page. You can choose to use just the bridge page in your affiliate marketing, but it will make it harder to capture leads.
There you go, the differences between the bridge funnel and bridge page are not huge, but they’re still there. You can look at it this way. The bridge page is just one page, whereas the bridge funnel consists of multiple pages.
